Senior Construction Inspector

Fort Worth

TNP has an immediate opening in our Fort Worth office for an experienced Senior Construction Inspector to become a part of an established and growing construction management group. This position is responsible for the inspection and documentation of the placement of work items on public works construction projects. Inspection teams will provide our clients with resident representation to inspect and document the construction of their projects. Position Requirements:  At a minimum, candidates must meet the following educational, professional and personal requirements:


  • High School Graduate or GED requied
  • Increasingly responsible technical engineering/construction inspection work
  • Previous experience on a Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team a plus


  • Fifteen (15) years of experience inspecting public works infrastructure
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Responsive and results oriented in service to clients
  • Strong commitment to professional development
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Tools
  • Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships with other team members
  • Ability to organize and schedule work to meet deadlines
  • Capable of interacting with the public in a positive manner

  • Review of assigned project and assist in determining staffing and testing requirements
  • Conduct scheduled safety meetings with project staff
  • Review reports and activities of project inspectors
  • Meet regularly with the Construction Superintendent and/or Project Manager to discuss project issues
  • Establish good communication and working relationships with team members & clients
  • Proficient in the ability to read and interpret plans, standards and specifications
  • Check all submittals for accuracy and completeness
  • Implement agreed process for conflict resolution between the inspection team and the contractor
  • Review, approve and submit contract pay request monthly
  • Ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications
  • Review and monitor the removal of all rejected work
  • Coordinate, document and track the approval of needed field changes
  • Maintain all project records in auditable form and have the project ready for close out and review within one (1) month of acceptance of the project by the owner
  • Train junior inspectors and coordinate their work
